works ok, not a lot I can use it on around the house...have only used it twice in 9 months. Works fine. I do love Shaklee products, this is just not the product for us.
I thought this was a fairly good read. Not one of those ' can't put it down' books though. I got a little lost in places trying to keep the characters straight.
Great diversity of essays and variation of styles. There were some common themes, however, which could get overbearing at times. Overall, the essays were enlightening.
Generally, I don't review products. But alarm clocks are special. Especially when you're very sensitive to light. I wanted an alarm clock that would wake me in the morning by light alone – no sound. I also wanted an alarm clock where I could turn off the display entirely while I'm sleeping. The smallest light at night keeps me up. Bonus it has a radio that receives better than the alarm clock I have before and it has batteries to keep time when the power goes out. This combination of features is very hard to locate. This clock performed on most of these accounts. It has One big drawback though. You really can't set it for Silent. Even when you set the sound level to zero the Clock makes a strange clicking noise. It's not soft enough to sleep through.
The more I looked through this book the less it resembled the "Elements of Style" I remember from college. This book is clumsy, poorly laid-out and hard to understand and maybe that's the way it was in the mid-1970s, but there many, much easier to understand style books available (try the AP Stylebook or the Chicago Manual). Plus it's fussy in places as when the author insists we do what he says because his book is the one used by the Government Printing Office and the Oxford English Dictionary. The GPO is the largest publisher in the world, emphasis on "publishing." They receive documents electronically from the executive, legislative and judicial branches of our government and then the GPO prints them. They don't read, edit or proof those documents, that is up to the issuing body, so I fail to see what is especially significant about William Strunk's claim that the GPO uses his book. As for the OED, I don't live, write or edit documents in the UK and therefore what style they use, which often differs from our style here in the US, is useless for me.
I ordered these clubs two nights ago, and they arrived tonight. After unwrapping the clubs from their packaging (plastic sleeves on the shafts and bubble wrap around the heads of all of the clubs), I took a couple of practice swings with the 7 iron. I can tell already that I'm not going to be able to comfortably use these clubs. They're great looking and seem very solid, not cheap at all. But they're too short for me.
I can only speak for two things, which were what I wanted. I had tried samples first, so I knew what I was getting:
