IF your problem is that the dishwasher does not fully empty, visible standing water in the bottom of the washer after it's done, if it's not a kink in an old hose, you will most likely need to, depending on your model either replace the entire check valve assembly, or the "flapper" in models where the check valve assemblly can be disassembled. The check valve assembly is under the washer, this piston/nut screws down into it from inside the washer. The blistering skin began to dry and heal. I felt the itch slightly 8 hours later, it could have just been the healing process of my skin - not sure, did another wash, and that was it.
